Contentment: Focusing Upwards

Contentment is rooted in an upward focus...

Contentment is rooted in an upward focus- eyes fixed on Jesus in the now...this very moment. We do not get it by looking side to side at what others have. We do not get it by looking at the past and pining over what we used to have. We do not get it by looking towards the future and wishing to get tomorrow, all that we don't have yet. No. 

Contentment comes from a radical commitment to being fully present right now, in this very moment and seeing Jesus all around because He is here. Right here. Right now. He is here waiting to be seen by all of us, should we pause long enough to see Him- for,

"He is not far from any one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being..." 

-Acts 17:27-28
