Burning like a fire

Standing in the center of of hustle bustle, that is downtown San Jose, surrounded be lights and action, hearing the sounds of fast-paced traffic in one ear, and Spanish in the other. We are just a bunch of kids that really loves Jesus, and have a deep desire to see His love and truth transform the lives of those around us. We have come far together, and God has transformed our hearts.
Just another noise among hundreds, we begin to sing-raising hands and hearts to the one who holds our hearts. What begins as a simple act of worship, spreads as people stop and begin to take notice. What seems like just a simple song, is so much more than that. Something is happening in the heavens as we break through in the power of God's Spirit, proclaiming His truth, pushing back the powers of darkness, and interceding for God's children who have yet to know how deep is the Fathers love.

Something happens inside of you when Jesus lives on the throne of your heart. It's like living really alive, as if something inside is just waiting to explode! When you begin to get tastes of His presence and the deep healing and life that He brings, it almost takes your breath away. You can't help but want everyone in the whole world to experience the exploding joy and abundant life that you know they were created for. It begins to hurt your heart to see people walking around filled with the ache of purposelessness and longing for Jesus, trying to fill a bottomless hole that they just can't fill without Him. One of the deepest longings of your heart is that  others would experience the fullness of the life that only God can give..to have real peace, and exploding, life giving joy.
I think this is how we all felt that night, as we stood in the park square, loving Jesus.

I heard a quote once, and it said this: "Don't worry about how to draw a crowd, just go out on the street and catch on fire, people will come to watch you burn!" We were burning with His love like a fever on a summer afternoon. They told us to dare to believe God, so we stepped out in faith. God moved on behalf of our prayers. He used us that night, to change countenances, and bring His truth and redemption into dark places. After God burns in your heart, you can never walk away and be the same. You must make a decision: to follow hard after Him and give your life away, or you can walk away and ignore Him, but whatever you may choose, your life cannot ever be the same.
