South Africa: Settling in

The view from my window
Africa is a beautiful place filled with beautiful hearted people! We all arrived safely and have been trying to stay warm ever since! We read books, spend time on the beach, go to classes, write sermons, lesson plans and book reports, have meetings to learn about the African culture and drink lots of tea!

Muizenburg
This school that we are a part of has been amazing! We are learning so many practical tools for teaching, planning lessons, connecting with the heart of the students in order to teach effectively, and actually presenting lectures and sermons. The things that would take 4 years to learn and would never be practiced in a university course, we are learning a jam packed 3 weeks and then putting into practice for the next two months! It is so exciting to learn how to effectively teach the word of God and inspire a love for the word within the people of this generation.

Lunch on the mountain!

It may look like Greenland, but it is really Africa!
We got to hike up this beautiful mini mountain in Muizenburg, and it gave us a view of the entire city!

Love these lovely women!
I am looking forward to continual learning over the next week and a half. It is so exciting to continue to spend time with the Lord and get His heart for the African people! We can't wait to share our love for God's word with them in the next few weeks!

Much love from Africa!
